Our Dedicated Staff

Val, our Practice Manager, has been working with Stokes Dental since 1993. A graduate of Cal Berkeley, she also holds a MBA in Health Care Administration.

Gris and Aminta, our Registered Dental Assistants, provide chairside dental assisting for Dr. Stokes. Both have been working for our practice for over fifteen years.

Laura, Pam, Ruth, Michelle and Marcella, our team of Registered Dental Hygienists - their primary focus is on preventative oral health - educating you on how to care for and improving the health of your gums and teeth.

Dr Michael Stokes is a graduate of the University of California, San Francisco, Dental School (UCSF).

A second generation dentist, Dr. Stokes has been practicing general and cosmetic dentistry since 1987.

He emphasizes staff teamwork, patient dedication and cultural sensitivity in his practice philosophy.

In addition to his private practice, Dr. Stokes also volunteers his time at a local on-site elementary school dental clinic, participates in the Colgate-Palmolive Community Outreach Program, Contra Costa Dental Society and American Dental Association-sponsored Give Kids a Smile Day.

A father of two boys, his interests are jazz, karate and salsa dancing.
